Biography
Emerging as a Chilean punk/rock foursome in the early '90s, Machuca self-released Si Tapas Tus Oidos in 1992 and soon contributed "No Quiero Morir Antes De Haber Vivido" and "Hogar Dulce Hogar" to a regional rock compilation. Carlos Cabezas handled production on the band's debut full-length Hogar Dulce Hogar in 1995, which prompted major rock stations to spin the track "Corazón Desilusionado." The 1997 EP Ella followed, incorporating live recordings made at Santiago's Chile stadium on August 14th, 1996, and preceded the 1998 release Viva Machuca!.
