Colombian musician Magna crafts summery, romantic tracks that blend reggaeton, R&B, Afrobeats, and new wave. Simón Jaramillo, raised in Medellin, Colombia, first began composing music while still a teenager throughout the 2010s. His initial single, “Playa y Weed” alongside Bad Milk, surfaced in 2020, after which he issued further material marked by chilled-out synths, passionate vocals, and light, dembow-inspired drum patterns. The 2021 release “Tú y Yo” featured Star Rex, followed by “After” in 2022. Magna put out his first EP, De Cero, in 2023; among its tracks, “Hookeado” featuring Zaucy drew the widest notice, with subsequent singles including “Alguien Como Tú” and “Mensaje Archivado.” The full-length Todo Puede Suceder appeared in 2024, after which Magna teamed with bedroom pop star Cuco on the single “lo que dura la canción.”
