Even Johansen, the Norwegian singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, performs as Magnet, a name he selected in his teenage years following an unusual episode that eliminated his anemia. Considerable success has come to him in Norway, where his output comprises assorted EPs together with the albums Quiet & Still (2000), On Your Side (2003), The Tourniquet (2005), and The Simple Life (2007). Live work has seen him appear as a guest to Doves, Zero 7, Röyksopp, Kings of Convenience, and South.
