Biography
Emerging from Montreal, a Hendrix-influenced power trio brought together guitarist Frank Marino, bassist Paul Harwood and drummer Jim Ayoub. Across the 1970s the group issued a string of albums: Maxoom in 1972, Child of the Novelty in 1974, Strange Universe in 1975, Mahogany Rush IV in 1976, World Anthem in 1977, Live in 1978 and Tales of the Unexpected in 1979. After the 1980 release What's Next the outfit began recording as Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush, later shortening the name to Frank Marino following Jim Ayoub’s departure.
