Biography
Argentinean punk rock outfit Mal de Parkinson originated in 1986 when guitarist Gustavo Delgado, bassist Javiero Lauro, drummer Carlos Aquino, and vocalist Marcelo Sacco came together. Following the singer’s departure in 1988, Carlos Vege and Claudio Balsano entered the picture and helped launch Comando 101, which later shortened its name to 101. The group self-released the albums Síganme y Jódanse in 1992 and Q.E.P.D. the following year. Once Andrés Pereira became a member, the project was renamed Mal de Parkinson, prompting an October 1993 concert to mark the occasion. Claudio Villanueva then took over guitar duties from Delgado. The band tracked A.Z.T. El Remedio de Tu Enfermedad in 1994 and followed it with Cruzando la Otra Vereda the next year. In 1997 Mal de Parkinson appeared in the local Clash tribute concert Bs. As. City Rockers. A sixteen-song set produced by Gonzalo Villagra was captured in 1998 and issued twelve months afterward under the title Uno.
