Biography
Malconsejo, a Spanish pop/rock foursome, established its independent imprint Maybe Tomorrow in 1995 and introduced itself that same year via a self-titled EP. The following year the band appeared on the Los Brincos tribute compilation Get Ready to the Brincosis!. After placing as a finalist in Villa de Bilbao’s rock contest, the quartet secured a contract with Madrid-based Rock Indiana Records and issued Una Hora Sin Televisión, a 1997 fusion of Spanish pop and alternative country-rock. Founding guitarist Vicente Ordóñez exited soon afterward, with ex-Blood Filloas member Fernando Cabalo stepping in as replacement. Juan Carlos Tomas produced Malconsejo’s 2000 album Vivir Bajo El Agua.
