Biography
Under the Maldoror banner, Mike Patton—vocalist of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle—teamed with Masami Akita, Merzbow’s noise manipulator, to fuse Patton’s extreme vocal approach from his solo outings on John Zorn’s Tzadik imprint with Akita’s ferocious sonics. The duo’s first recording, She, surfaced in 1999 via Patton’s own Ipecac label.
