Biography
Mamani Keita launched her recording career in the 1990s by supplying backing vocals for Salif Keita. Session contributions in the same capacity on Tama’s debut recording then opened the door to full membership in the band, where she appeared on its 2002 follow-up, Espace. She further joined forces with producer Marc Minelli to create the album Electric Bamako, issued by Palm Pictures in 2003.
