Many Voices Speak

Many Voices Speak came together in the mid-2010s as an indie project built around Matilda Mård’s vocals and songwriting, shaped by the textures of early dream pop after she left Stockholm for a temporary stay in the less hectic Borlänge, Sweden. The act’s opening single, “Video Child,” surfaced in September 2016, one month ahead of the debut EP Away for All Time, issued through Strangers Candy and Hit City USA. A cover of Rodgers & Hart’s “Blue Moon” on the EP stirred online attention and placed Many Voices Speak on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart.
