Maplewood

Formed as followers of 1960s canyon rock, Maplewood assembled to recreate the styles of America, the Byrds, and the Flying Burrito Brothers three decades later. The lineup featured co-vocalists and guitarists Mark Rozzo of Champale and Steve Koester, formerly of Punchdrunk, together with guitarist Craig Schoen, bassist Jude Webre, and Nada Surf drummer Ira Elliot; the ensemble issued its self-titled debut on New York’s Tee Pee Records in 2004.
