Biography
Born in the Netherlands during 1972, Marcel Coenen took up the guitar at age eleven within a household already steeped in music. Following stints in several obscure ensembles, he became a member of the freshly formed Speedica, whose sole CD appeared soon afterward. Lineup shifts prompted a 1994 rechristening as Form, the same year the reconfigured band committed I Choose My Own to tape. Coenen simultaneously launched Aura, which circulated a demo and secured a Magna Carta deal; yet the group adopted the name Lemur Voice prior to any release, ultimately issuing the lone album Insights. In 1998 he founded the Sun Caged project and returned to Form after an earlier departure.
