Biography
Established during 2010 in Guadalajara, Mexico, the folk ensemble Mariachi Rock-O channels mariachi reinterpretations of familiar pop and rock material, an approach directly signaled by the group's title. Songs including Michael Jackson's "Ben," the Charlie Daniels Band's "Devil Went Down to Georgia," and Ricky Martin's "Livin' la Vida Loca" illustrate the catalog they reshape in this style. Their output comprises the two albums Sonidos de Jalisco and Sonidos de Jalisco, Vol. 2.
