Mark Bacino operates from New York as a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer drawn to melodic rock and power pop shaped by classic 1960s and 1970s influences. His first appearance came in the 1990s through Pop Job, which led to broader notice via the 2003 album The Million Dollar Milkshake and the 2010 album Queens English. Top of the World emerged in 2024.

A native of New York City, Bacino absorbed repeated listens to the Monkees, Kiss, Herb Alpert, the Beach Boys, Cheap Trick, and similar pop groups while growing up. He mastered guitar on his own during high school and had already begun testing four-track recording techniques in his basement. Following his graduation from St. John's University, Bacino issued multiple independent albums, among them the 1997 EP Pop Job that received an expanded version the next year.

Parasol released his second full-length effort, The Million Dollar Milkshake, in 2003. Around the same period he started handling behind-the-scenes production and songwriting for other artists inside his own Queens English recording studio. DreamCrush Records brought out his third full-length album, Queens English, in 2010. He resurfaced in 2024 with Top of the World, taking cues from figures such as Harry Nilsson and Randy Newman while featuring orchestral arrangements.
