Biography
Mark Cook, a versatile electric blues guitarist with multiple musical abilities, entered the world in a household centered on performance. His childhood unfolded amid constant travel, as he accompanied his parents—the duo billed as Dale & Vicki—on tours spanning North America. The blues aptitude and dedication he received from them prompted him to commit fully to music after he made his home in Indiana at age 15. From that point he refined his commanding guitar technique while mastering bass, piano, and production on his own. In due course he built a professional studio inside his residence and took on every role in creating his first CD, An Evening With the Blues, issued in 2000. The recording earned strong praise, above all from Just Plain Folks, the extensive music-industry body that named it Best Blues Album of the Year 2001. Two years later he issued his follow-up album, The Promise Highway.
