Biography
Mark 'Oh, born Marko Albrecht in Germany, radiates an upbeat outlook that occasionally tips into overwhelming emotion, placing him among the many local artists who abandoned casual rock endeavors for the polished dance mainstream that followed the rave years. After dissolving Line Up, his initial guitar-based group, he entered the scene as a DJ in 1990 and advanced to production through the limited 1993 appearance of "Randy -- Never Stop That Feeling," a buoyant single built on helium-pitched samples that, once reissued, held the summit of the German charts for six months. Follow-up tracks reinforced his airy, video-game-infused trance approach, while the three albums Never Stop That Feeling in 1995, Magic Power in 1996, and Rebirth in 1999 reflected growing guest contributions and unexpected reinterpretations such as fresh versions of Visage's "Fade to Grey" and Nick Kamen's "I Promised Myself." An early retrospective collection surfaced in 2001.
