Biography
Liverpool, the celebrated English port city once serving as Britain’s chief maritime gateway to its industrial core, gave birth to Married to the Sea in 2006. The group fused high-energy pop and indie rock with the classic sounds of Motown and ABBA. Despite forming in the United Kingdom, the band made its live debut on American soil and sought early exposure by contributing tracks to every compilation that would accept them. Throughout most of 2008 the members toured relentlessly, sharpening their material in pursuit of a lasting home for their sound.
