Biography
Renowned primarily among Western listeners for her role as principal vocalist with the Hungarian ensemble Muzsikas, whose three albums appear on Hannibal Records, Marta Sebestyen has also issued multiple solo projects. One of these, the 1992 collection Apocrypha, draws together material from three traditional albums originally released only in Hungary and recorded alongside Karoly Cserepes: Love, Christmas, and Emigration. High Days reached stores in fall 2000.
