Biography
Born on 13 June 1947 in Hazard, Kentucky, USA, Turner rose to prominence during the mid- and late 1970s. She teamed with Bill Anderson on a series of duets that included ‘Sometimes’, ‘That’s What Made Me Love You’, ‘Where Are You Going, Billy Boy’, ‘Can We Still Be Friends’, ‘Charlie, Mary And Us’, ‘Children’, ‘Country Lay Off My Mind’, ‘Circle In A Triangle’ and ‘Come Walk With Me’. Scant information survives about her activities after the 1970s, although Turner evidently sustained ties to country music well into the early 00s.
