Biography
Matt Jorgensen, a drummer, made his initial mark through the release of The Road Begins Here in 2001. This moody and introspective album featured his atmospheric arrangements alongside interpretations of tracks extending beyond jazz boundaries, such as those by Led Zeppelin, signaling his entry into the jazz scene. He followed up the next year by collaborating with the backing group 451 on Quiet Silence, an album of similar adventurous spirit that included covers of Radiohead and the Beatles, further establishing the Northwest jazz fixture as a successful artist.
