Biography
Boesch pursued studies with Messiaen as well as at the Groupe de Recherches Musicales. He assumed the role of director at the Lausanne Conservatory in 1968, only to step down four years afterward so that he might devote himself to composing. Film and theatrical productions received his attention, in addition to instrumental pieces, electronic music, and mixed-media works. Involvement in collective compositions came through his roles as performer and improvisational organizer with both the Paris ensemble GERM and the Berne ensemble Neue Horizonte. A 1972 undertaking paired him with a sculptor for an integration of tape music and visual art.
