Maurice Moore

Maurice Moore crafts songs that shift between romantic themes and lighthearted vibes with a relaxed touch, placing him alongside fellow Canadians who share a similar vision for modern R&B. Born in Springfield, Illinois and raised in Ottawa, the singer and songwriter channeled his formative time into both sports and music. At prep school in Connecticut, his focus on football faded while late-night musical progress took hold. After committing fully to songwriting and performance, he linked up with a management firm in Toronto and issued his first tracks in 2015, including "Ready" and "Sex U Back 2 Sleep." His output of singles grew steadily across 2016 and 2017, a stretch marked by the release of "The Loudest Silence." Toward the close of 2017 he put out the full-length project The Amber Room, which he described as a mixtape. Known also for frequent guest work, Moore has appeared on tracks by Mickey Shiloh, Paces, and JYDN.
