Born Kevin Kawan de Azevedo in Sao Paulo, Brasil in 1998, MC Kevinho launched his career as a singer, producer, and songwriter whose early singles swept across Brazil once he turned 16. Blending EDM, electro-funk, tropical rhythms, and hip-hop, he scored his breakthrough with the 2016 release “Olha a Explosão,” whose video accumulated nearly 900 million views; together with his other releases the combined total approached two billion. Every one of his video singles also placed inside the streaming Top 20.

Music consumed him from age six onward. He recorded his first single at 12 and stepped into professional work two years later when “Tá Bombando E” appeared on YouTube and surpassed 13 million views. A self-titled debut album that followed failed to register commercially yet drew the interest of several labels.

While part of the KL Producer collective he guested on clips by MC Toy and MC Bin Laden. After departing he signed with producer KondZilla’s KondZilla Records imprint through Universal. In September 2016 the KondZilla-assisted video for “Tumbalatum” earned him widespread television exposure; critics and listeners alike hailed the track as song of the summer, instantly transforming Kevinho into a fixture on both broadcast and social platforms. Two months later he unveiled the clip for “Turutum.”

December 2016 brought his fourth single of the year, “Olha a Explosão,” featuring 2 Chainz and French Montana; the track fused electro funk, hip-hop, and ragga. Throughout 2017 his songs appeared on two prominent compilations while he issued the singles “Encaixa” featuring Léo Santana, “Let It Kiss” featuring Matheus & Kauan, and “Rabiola.” Only “Let It Kiss” registered on the streaming and sales charts, yet the enormous video counts supplied both visibility and revenue. He further contributed to “Cê Acredita” by João Neto & Frederico and “Loko” by Tropkillaz & Major Lazer.

In 2018 “Ta Tum Tum” featuring Simone & Simaria climbed to number 77 on the Brazilian pop charts as its video tallied millions of views, and “Papum” followed later that year.
