Biography
In 1995 McGruff made his initial mark on Big L's Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous, and he later joined Heavy D for a guest turn on Monifah's "I Miss You." After landing his own deal with Uptown/Universal, the Harlem rapper issued his first single "Before We Start" in the early part of 1998. June brought his album Destined to Be, which included contributions from Heavy D, the LOX, and Mase.
