McKinley

Born in Seattle, folk-pop singer/songwriter McKinley spent portions of her childhood in Alaska and San Francisco. She performed with a local ensemble while earning a mechanical engineering degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, then relocated to London once her studies concluded. In 1997 she resumed life stateside and took an engineering post, only to receive an album offer from the Samson Music label within days; her debut LP Big Top Shop Talk appeared the following year.
