Oklahoma outfit Meant2B fused the R&B stylings of Jodeci and New Edition with contemporary hip-hop rhythms after coming together in 2000 during a house party at the University of Central Oklahoma. Dele Olasiji, Tre' McCoy, and Eric "Ezo" Hollowell began by promoting themselves on local radio and serving as openers for visiting acts such as Snoop Dogg and Sean Kingston in their home state. National attention arrived in 2010 via the single "Drinks on Me," which included Baby Bash, while 2013 brought "Sexy Independent" featuring guest vocalist Sha Sha Jones. Chris Cutta handled production on the follow-up single "No Ring," issued in 2015.
