Biography
It was as part of the dance-pop outfit Me-Ka-Do that Melanie Bender initially attracted notice on the charts within her home country of Germany. Venturing out solo shortly thereafter, she scored a subsequent success via the precocious single “You Just Want Sex.” Before long came her self-titled debut album, which Critique brought to American audiences in mid-1996.
