Biography
David Barbe fronted Mercyland, the Athens, Georgia band, before Bob Mould recruited him into the power trio Sugar. The group’s sound recalls Husker Du without Bob Mould and Grant Hart’s songwriting chops. Drummer Joel Suttles and guitarist Andrew Donaldson completed the core lineup, while drummer Harry Joiner and guitarist Mark Craig participated only briefly.
