Biography
Mick Bund, who had previously played in Felt, served as singer and guitarist at the helm of the British pop group Mexico 70. Mark Barrett on lead guitar, bassist Guido Mullingan, and drummer Rick Duce completed the lineup. After signing with Cherry Red, the band issued two EPs that were later assembled into the debut album The Dust Has Come to Stay. Their next release, Sing When You're Winning, came out exclusively in Spain. Mexico 70 subsequently moved to the American indie imprint Big Pop, which issued Imperial Comet Hour in 1997.
