Biography
Fronted by singer and multi-instrumentalist Mark Baldwin, who had earlier led the cult favorite Lovecup out of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, the dreamy lo-fi trio Mezzanines also counted bassist Marco Nieto and drummer Alexander Dawkins among its members. The group unveiled its self-titled debut album in 1998. Three years afterward came the release of Underground Aces.
