Mg! The Visionary

Seattle Christian rapper MG! the Visionary required more than a decade to secure his first solo contract after beginning his career alongside MO in the New Life Crew. The duo later operated as Third Nail Productions, also known as 3NP, from 1993 through 1996. Although 3NP contributed to the compilation Sanctifunktifyd, the act itself never obtained a recording agreement, and MO exited the project in 1996. MG! then joined forces with guitarist Pauly Paul to develop fresh material, which ultimately led to a deal with Uprok, a subsidiary of BEC Recordings. The label issued his solo debut, TransparEmcee, in early 2000.
