Michael D'Agostino, active as both composer and drummer, has moved across multiple styles including film scoring, new age, jazz, and pop while collaborating with Herbie Hancock, Stanley Jordan, Yoko Ono, Kiss, and Third World. He wrote music for numerous NYU student films along with episodes of the television series X-Files and the Stephen King feature Maximum Overdrive. His compositions also entered the 20th Century Fox Sci-Fi Library catalog and appeared in assorted commercials. In addition, he has instructed students at the Drummers Collective in New York City and at the Sam Ash Music Institute in New Jersey. Issued on his own imprint in 2001, the debut album Future Reflections presented him performing on an array of acoustic and synthesized instruments in a techno-tribal idiom.
