From an early age Michael Ferentino found himself immersed in sound, issuing a pair of independent albums before he even finished high school. He later joined forces with Andres Karu in the short-lived electronic-rock group Love In Reverse, which landed a contract with Warner/Reprise. The pair’s subsequent releases, I Was Here and Words Become Worms, earned strong reviews and secured support slots on tours with Republica and Ian Astbury. In 1998 the two musicians reconvened as Amazing Meet Project; the project attracted the interest of Clerks director Kevin Smith and led to scoring duties on the film A Better Place. A year later Michael launched a solo career with a folk-leaning focus and traveled across North America alongside former Wonderstuff leader Miles Hunt.
