Biography
Originating from Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Michael Frey now calls Oak Creek, Wisconsin home. He devoted eight years to positions at assorted music retail outlets spanning both states. Educational goals drew him to Wisconsin, where three years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison preceded receipt of a B.A. in English from UW-Milwaukee. While his musical preferences span many genres, power pop, country-rock, and singer/songwriters remain his core interests. Michael contributes part-time to AMG and fills his spare hours scouring record stores, attending shows, joining recreational sports, and reading. He continues supporting the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears through extended stretches of disappointment while regularly watching The Simpsons and The Kids in the Hall.
