Michael R. Hicks

Having taken his performances to listeners spanning the globe, Michael R. Hicks weaves the influence of those journeys into his compositions. Stages ranging from the West Coast to the Middle East, as well as Calgary, Canada, and Kenya, Africa, have featured his playing. While most works center on solo piano, subsequent releases incorporate vocal guests and orchestrations. Among the artists sharing bills with him are John Canaan, Bryce Neubert, Nancy Hanson, Peter Breinholt, and Jenny Frogley. A degree in marketing communications with a music minor was completed at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Tens of thousands worldwide have heard his compositions and creative arrangements in live settings. The music consistently fosters unity and emotional connection with listeners.
