Biography
Formed in 2008 by Autry Fulbright while he was mourning the loss of his father, Midnight Masses began as a steadily growing musical collective. The New York-based outfit, which released material through Collect Records, drew on the contributions of seasoned collaborators including Jason Reece and Conrad Keely from ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead as well as Gerard Smith and Jaleel Bunton from TV on the Radio, with Eric Rodgers, Destiny Montague, Miyuki Furtado, and Daniel Wood rounding out the roster. Although the band’s first full-length album had been eyed for a 2010 release, the EP Rapture Ready, I Gazed at the Body surfaced in November 2009 as an early glimpse of their sound.
