Serving mainly as a platform for the seasoned vocalist and composer Don Miggs, the group Miggs produces accessible melodic pop and rock incorporating elements of alternative rock. The initial release, titled Anyway, came out in 2002 from Miggs alongside his first supporting musicians, with Insomnia following in 2004. Miggs shifted to a fresh ensemble around then and put out the EP Late Nights & Early Mornings during 2007, before issuing the album Unraveled the next year. Additional lineup adjustments occurred prior to the 2010 full-length Wide Awake, crafted alongside producer and engineer Ken Lewis, known for work with Fall Out Boy and Kanye West. The fifth album, 15th & Hope, emerged in 2012 under the production of Phil Ramone. Don Miggs pursued a fresh direction focused on personal expression rather than external projects, composing original tracks and convening with his current collaborators—guitarist John Luzzi, bassist Michael Lombardo, and drummer Walker Adams—to lay down a self-titled record. The lead track "Ordinary" from this effort reached the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart, with the project scheduled to appear by the end of 2015.
