Biography
Formed in Los Angeles in 2005, the group known as The Mighty Six Ninety brought together frontman Richard Gardner, guitarist Jeremy Castillo, drummer Reade Pryor, keyboardist Camille Driscoll, and bassist Patrick Taylor. Their earnest, jangly, synth-drenched sound delivers a fresh-faced 21st-century spin on new wave and post-punk acts like the Cure and New Order. Both of the band’s first singles, “Keeping You in Mind” and “Believable,” appeared on the U.K. label Kids in 2006. The following year, Invisible DJ Records issued their debut full-length, Cheers to the Bitter End. An EP titled Mistakes Like These surfaced in 2009.
