Biography
Born in South Hempstead, NY, Mike Farley spent his early years there before settling in Cleveland during 1992. His sound blends the sharp instincts of an indie-pop craftsman with the brooding perspective of a confessional tunesmith. By wrapping introspective themes in bright, melodic hooks, he cultivated a devoted regional audience through consistently compelling performances. Right This Time marked his debut, succeeded in 1999 by On the Edge of Somewhere and, the following year, by the stylistically related Halfworldaway. After concentrating on live work for several seasons, he reentered the studio in 2002 to complete Blue, issued that autumn. His move to Nashville in 2003 coincided with the launch of his own publicity company, Michael J. Media. He resumed recording in 2007, resulting in Moments and Memories.
