Mike Hanopol stands as the central figure behind Tribu Kemistri, an Asian pop band that fuses rock influences with assorted ethnic rhythms and new age atmospheres. His guitar work commenced during the late '60s, bringing recognition from both Asian and Western listeners through repeated appearances as an opener for touring acts such as Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin in the Orient. Early 1998 saw the release of Tribu Kemistri's debut album, after which the group launched a U.S. tour that incorporated multimedia installations.
