Philadelphia's Mil gained recognition as a protégé of rapper Beanie Siegel, one among multiple rappers from the city to establish themselves. He followed several cameos on assorted hip-hop albums with the release of two singles, "Dirty Dirty" and "Ride Out." His debut album, Street Scriptures, came out in 2001.
