Hailing from Michigan yet now rooted in Los Angeles, rapper Miles Morrison broadens standard trap conventions through the use of vintage samples, nimble delivery, and a distinctly cinematic polish.

Fenton, Michigan, is where he entered the world, raised solely by his mother; during his formative years musical influences ranged from Eminem to Pearl Jam, yet film remained his foremost passion, especially the work of Kubrick and Tarantino. While enrolled at college in Arizona he began using drugs, an episode that reshaped his outlook on life. After moving to L.A. he pursued entry into both the film and music industries. Performances at private parties and rough-edged clubs attracted the notice of EP Entertainment, resulting in a joint recording contract with Epic. Morrison’s first full-length project, the 2020 album Hollywoodland, highlighted his nimble delivery and dark perspective across vintage samples and a movie-like gloss. Guest appearances by Yo Gotti and Stunna Girl were included, and the release was supported by a trio of cinematic music videos that the rapper himself conceived.
