Milkshake Jones

Operating from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the quartet Milkshake Jones fuses classic power pop with touches of alt-country twang and an incisive rock guitar attack. Songwriter and lead singer John Micek fronts the lineup, which includes guitarist Mark Burke, bassist Marni Micek, and drummer Paul Murr. The group first built a following around Harrisburg before launching brief tours and sharing bills with Mitch Easter and Tim Lee; the latter joined John Micek to co-write a track for Milkshake Jones’ debut EP, issued by the Paisley Pop label in 2003.
