Former teenage fashion icon and screen performer Milla Jovovich issued her first album, The Divine Comedy, in 1994. Unlike the generic dance-pop that models commonly attempted when entering music, the project relied primarily on acoustic arrangements, drew equal inspiration from philosophical themes and her Slavic roots, and stood out for its reflective tone and careful construction. Four years afterward she issued Peopletree Sessions, a release sold exclusively through mail order.
