Minotaurus

Minotaurus, a folk-metal collective hailing from Aschaffenburg, Germany, fuses Celtic folk elements with power metal in a style that brings to mind Suidakra, Cruachan, Primordial, and Eluveitie. Established in 1994, the outfit draws on several vocalists while deploying an extensive array of both electric and acoustic instruments outside the standard rock palette. A pair of demos paved the way for the full-length debut Path of Burning Torches in 1999. The EPs Carnyx and The Silent Cave appeared in 2001 and 2003, after which the band issued its second album, Myth or Reality, in 2004. The Lonely Dwarf surfaced in 2009 and The Call in 2013. For its fifth studio album, Insolubilis, released via Limb Records, the lineup grew to seven members.
