Biography
MISAMO, a subgroup drawn from the K-pop act TWICE, specializes in catchy and melodic dance-pop. Their first release arrived in 2023 as the Masterpiece EP, with the follow-up Haute Couture EP appearing the next year.
JYP Entertainment assembled the trio in 2023 under the name MISAMO, a blend of the members’ given names, uniting the Japanese members of TWICE—Momo, Sana, and Mina—who had each entered the larger group after appearing on the Mnet survival program Sixteen in 2015. February 2023 brought their debut EP, Masterpiece, whose tracks included the singles “Bouquet,” “Marshmallow,” and “Do Not Touch”; the project topped the Japanese charts. The group resurfaced in November 2024 with their second EP, Haute Couture, which climbed to number two on the Oricon Chart behind the lead singles “New Look” and “Identity.”
