Biography
Misha Alperin, a jazz pianist, approaches his craft with an introspective and cerebral sensibility, frequently weaving Jewish and Romanian folk elements into atmospheric, forward-thinking jazz. Ukraine is his birthplace, yet he maintains his home in Oslo, Norway, where his approach integrates smoothly into the Nordic jazz lineage. Several ECM releases stand to his credit, among them North Story in 1998, At Home in 2001, and Her First Dance in 2008.
