Biography
The country singing and songwriting duo known as Miss Willie Brown consists of Amanda Watkins and Kasey Buckley. Their paths crossed in Los Angeles, where aspiring songwriter Watkins, originally from West Virginia, arrived for her initial day at Baby Blue's BBQ, the establishment where Texas native Buckley worked as the head waitress while pursuing acting. A shared musical connection soon emerged between them, prompting collaborative songwriting efforts. Under the name Miss Willie Brown, the pair independently issued their EP Blackouts and Polaroids during 2010. In 2011, they marked history as the inaugural act to sign with A&M/Octone Records, a label headquartered in New York. One year afterward, in 2012, that same label put out their first full-length release, Bonafide, which was produced by Keith Stegall.
