Mister América

Art students founded the Argentinean band Mister América in 1989, launching an alternative pop/rock sound onto the domestic scene. Their first album, Con El Agua Al Cuello, appeared in 1996. A poll organized by a regional newspaper named the record among that year’s strongest releases. The group mounted a live presentation titled Despojado in 1998, the same name chosen for Mister América’s second studio album. Insano arrived in 2001.
