Biography
Originating in Mountlake Terrace, WA, the eclectic trio Mon Frere crafts electro-shock, jazz-tinged dance-pop marked by a punk rock attitude. The lineup includes vocalist/keyboard player Nouela Johnston, guitarist Kyle Swisher, and drummer Dustin McGhie; the members financed their debut EP through prize money earned in a "Battle of the Bands" contest. That project, Real Vampires, appeared in 2005 on Cake Records, with the full-length Blood, Sweat, and Swords arriving in May 2006.
