Monkey Butler

Origin: U.S.A

Formed in September 2000, Monkey Butler quickly established itself as a fixture at house parties and college bars across Champaign-Urbana, drawing from an eclectic mix of inspirations that ranged from Credence Clearwater Revival and Fountains of Wayne to the Reverend Horton Heat. Their approach also folded in melodic touches of guitar-driven pop and rock, with the core members—Trevor Lutz handling vocals, Steve Carmody and Matt Black on guitar, Rory Grennan on bass, and Yasufumi Sono behind the drums—later issuing the self-released debut EP ...The Life and Times of Langdon Alger in 2001.
